Twelve Mile Delta to Bob’s Cove Return

This stunning 7-8 km out-and-back trail starts at the Twelve Mile Delta car park (which was a film location for the Lord of the Rings’ Ithilien Camp.) Follow the shore of Lake Wakatipu, taking in the beautiful lake views and native bush, before reaching the panoramic views at Bob’s Cove.

Finish the walk back at the Twelve Mile Delta car park and then we can drive 15 minutes into town to grab a post-walk hot drink (this is optional).

8km | 2-3hrs walk time & 1 hour for lunch | Moderate | Community Walk
